Ottawa’s Gabriela Dabrowski and her doubles partner Erin Routliffe from New Zealand have decided to end their partnership on the court. Together, they achieved success by claiming three doubles titles in 2025, emerging victorious in Stuttgart, Cincinnati, and the U.S. Open.
Reflecting on their journey, Dabrowski shared her thoughts on Instagram, describing their experience as a mix of titles, tears, and triumphs that unfolded unexpectedly. Despite their professional collaboration coming to a close, the bond of friendship between them endures.
While Routliffe competes for New Zealand, it is noted that she is also a Canadian citizen and had previously represented Canada in tennis. The duo began their partnership in 2023 and secured their first Grand Slam title by winning the U.S. Open that same year.
Although the announcement confirming their split was made on Wednesday, Dabrowski and Routliffe had already started playing with different partners towards the end of the recent season. However, they briefly reunited to compete together at the WTA Finals.
