Canada’s Marjorie Lajoie and Zachary Lagha secured the silver medal in the ice dance category at the recent Skate America figure skating championship. With a total score of 197.16, the duo showcased their prowess on the ice. The gold medal was claimed by Madison Chock and Evan Bates of the United States with a score of 212.58, while the bronze went to France’s Evgeniia Lopareva and Geoffrey Brissaud, scoring 192.61. Canada’s Alicia Fabbri and Paul Ayer finished in ninth place with a total score of 165.68.

Lajoie and Lagha joined Kelly Ann Laurin and Loucas Ethier as the only Canadians to clinch medals at the event, further highlighting Canada’s success in the competition. The pair expressed their joy and pride in their performance and the outcome, emphasizing the hard work they had put in between the Skate Canada and Skate America events.
