“No Name Brand Revives Frozen Juice Lineup”

Loblaw, one of Canada’s major retailers, is bringing back frozen concentrated drinks under its No Name brand, offering varieties like White Lemonade, Pink Lemonade, Limeade, Grape Punch, Fruit Punch, and Berry Punch. The new products are set to hit shelves before the end of June, marking a return after Coca-Cola discontinued its Minute Maid frozen juice line.

The decision to reintroduce frozen juice follows a decline in the availability of such products in the Canadian market. Other frozen juice brands, including Old South, had been discontinued due to diminishing demand, with only Coca-Cola remaining until early 2026.

Despite the absence of a Canadian supplier for frozen juice concentrate, Loblaw has sourced alternatives to meet consumer demand. The company has stated that prices for the upcoming products will vary by store, with an initial pricing estimate of around $2.25 for a 283-milliliter portion.

In a potential shift, Metro-owned store brands are also exploring the reintroduction of frozen concentrate products, though this initiative may not extend nationwide due to the retailer’s regional presence. Additionally, there are hints that a Canadian producer might re-enter the frozen juice market, offering hope for consumers seeking this nostalgic beverage option.

The revival of frozen juice concentrate is expected to resonate with Canadians, especially those who enjoy traditional holiday treats like “slush,” a popular cocktail made from concentrated juice, sugar, and alcohol, typically savored around Christmas time.
