Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen and the Artemis II crew were warmly welcomed at the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) headquarters following their historic journey to the far side of the moon. Speaking in Longueuil, Que., Hansen expressed gratitude to those present for their crucial contributions to the successful mission. The 10-day expedition marked a significant milestone as Hansen, mission commander Reid Wiseman, and astronauts Victor Glover and Christina Koch ventured farther from Earth than any previous human explorers.
Addressing the audience, Koch highlighted the special connection she and Glover shared with Canada, having undergone training there, which made the CSA feel like a second home to them. Industry Minister Mélanie Joly and members of the public engaged in a Q&A session with the crew, including Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jenni Gibbons, who played a pivotal role at NASA’s Mission Control Center.
