Members of Perez Hilton’s family have revealed that his children, niece, and sister were present in his residence shortly before he initiated a live session on TikTok, where he seemed to be causing harm to himself.
In a recent statement released on Hilton’s website on Thursday, the family is urging for privacy and consideration. Their message states, “The recent events have been extremely challenging for our family.”
“To ensure the safety, privacy, and well-being of the children, we kindly request that the media, paparazzi, content creators, and the public refrain from congregating near the family’s residence and respect our wishes to maintain distance.”

Hilton, a single parent to three children — a 13-year-old son, an 11-year-old daughter, and an 8-year-old daughter.
Upon realizing that Perez was undergoing a severe mental health crisis and harming himself, his family promptly evacuated the premises to shield the children from further distress,” the statement elaborates.
“Our top priority currently is aiding the children in their recovery from the traumatic event they witnessed. A crucial aspect of this process is enabling them to return home safely and establish a sense of security and normalcy once again.”
Hospitalization of Hilton on Tuesday evening
The celebrity blogger is currently undergoing treatment in a medical facility following reports of self-harm during a live TikTok broadcast on Tuesday night.
As per information from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office provided to CBC News via email, “The individual has been located and transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to a nearby hospital for medical attention.”
Law enforcement authorities were dispatched to his Miami residence on Tuesday evening after receiving multiple concerned calls from fans regarding an individual who was “live streaming self-harm activities on social media.”
Upon arrival, deputies confirm that they interacted with family members and verified that he was alone during the live stream. Subsequent to the incident, authorities state that they have “tactically disengaged” and are maintaining surveillance while offering support to the family.
Hilton’s TikTok account deactivated
“In situations involving an individual in a mental health crisis or self-harm situation, deputies prioritize de-escalation through the creation of time, distance, and opportunities for communication,” a spokesperson mentioned in an email to CBC News.
“Unless there is an immediate risk to others, slowing down the situation and utilizing crisis intervention techniques can decrease the likelihood of a confrontation leading to injury and reduce risks to the individual, deputies, and the public.”
