A juvenile moose found itself trapped in a horse paddock at a ranch near Clinton, B.C., prompting a local woman, Shauna McAllister, to take action. McAllister, a seasoned wildlife worker, noticed the unusual visitor while enjoying her morning coffee. The moose, with distinctive features like long ears and a rounded snout, seemed healthy but stuck.
Concerned about potential dangers posed by the nearby highway, McAllister attempted to guide the moose out of the enclosure without success. She sought help from the B.C. Conservation Officer Service, who arrived along with RCMP officers. Despite initial efforts using air rifles, the moose remained unfazed.
After a heartwarming interaction, McAllister took matters into her own hands, leading the moose out with the officers using a Canadian flag for gentle coaxing. The trio successfully guided the moose back into the forest, ensuring its safe return to the wild.
