“Stove-Pipe Stuck Bear Rescued in B.C.”

A bear with a stove pipe stuck on its head was rescued in Oliver, B.C., after being spotted by Curtis Pirie. Pirie and his neighbor tried to remove the pipe themselves but failed, leading to a call to the B.C. Conservation Officer Service. The bear was tranquilized, removed from a tree, and the pipe was taken off. The conservation service had received multiple reports about the bear over a 10-day period before its rescue. Despite appearing thin, the bear was in good health and was relocated back into the woods. Authorities reminded the public to keep attractants away and report such incidents promptly.
