Milli Vanilli’s Fabrice Morvan Withdraws from DC Concerts

Fabrice Morvan, known for his role in Milli Vanilli, has decided to withdraw from the upcoming 250th-anniversary concerts in Washington, D.C. Initially enthusiastic about the summer events, Morvan expressed a change of heart during a recent CNN interview, describing the situation of the past week as chaotic and not aligned with his expectations.

While Vanilla Ice and Flo Rida are still set to perform at the Freedom 250 anniversary celebrations organized by the Trump administration, several other artists including Bret Michaels, Martina McBride, Young MC, Morris Day and the Time, and the Commodores have also opted out due to concerns about the event’s perceived political undertones.

C+C Music Factory’s participation remains uncertain following a video statement from lead rapper Freedom Williams expressing surprise at being associated with the “Trump Freedom show.” Morvan cited the withdrawal of Young MC as a factor that raised doubts in his mind, leading him to question the evolving nature of the event and ultimately choose not to attend the June 26th celebration.

Originally part of the late 1980s sensation Milli Vanilli alongside the late Rob Pilatus, Morvan highlighted that their intention was to entertain and bring people together through music, not to engage in political matters. The duo faced controversy in the past for not singing their own songs, which resulted in the revocation of their Grammy Award. Morvan, now fronting a revamped version of Milli Vanilli, emphasized his commitment to uniting people through music and shared memories.

In response to potential cancellation of the concerts by Trump and his proposal to headline the events himself, Morvan distanced himself from the political discourse, emphasizing his focus on connecting with ordinary individuals through his performances.
