Hannah Miller equaled a PWHL record for points in a single game as the Toronto Sceptres triumphed over the New York Sirens 4-1 in Newark, N.J., extending their winning streak to five games. Miller contributed to all four goals, scoring twice and providing two assists, bringing her season total to 22 points, the highest in the PWHL.
Julia Gosling also netted two goals for the Sceptres (7-2-4-6, 29 points), propelling them to tie with Minnesota for second place in the PWHL standings. Toronto has scored three or more goals in their last eight games, setting a new PWHL record.
New York (4-3-2-9) suffered their sixth consecutive loss, with five losses in regulation. Miller initiated the scoring in the second period with a deflected shot that found its way past goalkeeper Corinne Schroeder.
Gosling secured a power-play goal late in the second period, marking the Sceptres’ eighth consecutive game with a power-play goal, setting another PWHL record. The third period witnessed a flurry of goals, with Miller and Carpenter scoring in quick succession.
Toronto, on an eight-game point streak, will face Minnesota next, while New York will continue the PWHL Takeover Tour against Boston at Buffalo’s KeyBank Center.
