Charley Crockett Cancels Canadian Tour Due to Past Offense

Texas country artist Charley Crockett has called off his Canadian tour, which included a Saskatoon stop, after being refused entry due to a past drug offense. Originally slated to perform at Saskatoon’s TCU Place before heading to various Canadian cities and then back to the U.S., he expressed disappointment over the denial.

Crockett, a 41-year-old singer-songwriter, shared on his Instagram account his regret for the situation stemming from a 2016 marijuana conviction in Virginia. Despite attempts to enter Canada through different routes, he and his band were barred under immigration laws related to his previous legal issue.

Having previously toured Canada and performed in Toronto and Saskatchewan, Crockett expressed remorse to his fans for letting them down. Canadian-based musician Jake Vaadeland, who was set to open for Crockett at several tour stops, also voiced regret over the cancellation and hopes for future performances.

Known for his country-folk style and multiple album releases, including the upcoming “Age Of The Ram” from the Sagebrush Trilogy, Crockett’s 2026 North American tour has faced disruptions. The cancellation has not only affected Crockett and his supporting artists but also impacted local arts, culture, and the economy, according to Kirby Wirchenko, the director of theatre and programming at TCU Place. Refunds are being provided to ticket holders as a result of the tour cancellation.
